THE CRABBY GABBY GETAWAY The Crabby Quilter is excited to announce our first Quilters Retreat. Imagine four days of creative, fun-filled days of uninterrupted sewing time combined with an opportunity to expand your sewing circle with likeminded friends. The retreat is March 27-30, 2025, at Liberty Mountain Resort in Fairfield, Pennsylvania. There will be a $250 deposit required at the time of registration. This deposit will be applied to your retreat payment.
The resort is located a short distance from historic Gettysburg. Fairfield is a small community which is rich in history – with approximately 200 homes, some of which date to the 18th and 19th century. So, what’s included in the adventure:
LODGING: • Three nights lodging • 24-hour front desk • Free parking • Two queen beds • Mini Refrigerator • Complimentary in-room coffee or tea • Hairdryer • Iron & ironing board • Wireless Internet (free) • Ice Machine • Air Conditioning • Common laundry room for a fee • Fitness Room • Indoor pool Food & Beverage: • Breakfast is provided on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday • Lunch is provided Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. • Non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea and various sodas will be provided throughout the day. • Dinner is on your own. The resort has a full-service restaurant. The town of Fairfield has local restaurants, and Gettysburg is only a short drive away with many dining options.
Retreat & Sewing Space: • Our retreat will be held in a large conference room with lots of natural light and plenty of space to create and have fun. • Each participant will have a space with 6ft table and chair. (If you have your own favorite chair, you may want to bring that along). • We will have ironing and cutting stations available. • Pop up shop for any supplies you may need or forgot to bring. We will be happy to bring anything special ordered prior to the event. • Opening night, we will have a fun ice breaker session (optional) • Demos will be provided throughout the retreat. • Lots of door prizes!
PRICING • Single Occupancy Retreat Attendee: $875 • Double Occupancy with Two Retreat Attendees: $1450 ($725 each) Each room will have two queen size beds. Double Occupancy with One Retreat Attendee: $1300 • One occupant of the room will be sewing in the retreat room. Both occupants have access to all assigned meals, and beverages. REGISTRATION will open on September 3, 2024, at 9:30am eastern standard time. Registration will be taken through our website ONLY. We are limiting registrations to 50 retreaters, so please sign up early to guarantee your spot. There will be a $250 deposit required at the time of registration. This deposit will be applied to your retreat payment. The deposit is refundable until January 15, 2025. The balance will be due February 1, 2025. Once Registration is at capacity, we will start a waitlist. If someone cancels, we will utilize the waitlist to fill the canceled spot in the order we received names. After February 1, 2025, if you need to cancel, your fee will not be refundable unless your spot can be filled. Once you are registered, The Crabby Quilter will contact you with a registration form to finalize all payment details. Once you are registered there will be additional emails sent to everyone on the roster with other information as we get closer to the retreat date. These details will cover arrival times, directions, what to bring, what is provided, etc.
